Sarla Chopra DAV Public School
DAV Noida started in a rented building in sector 11 of Noida. It came as a boon to Noidaites in promoting a well-balanced and wholesome education based on Vedic culture. The people had high expectations from this school and the founder principal, Mr. H.G. Sapra, had a feel of these expectations. The school started progressing rapidly and the strength of the students swelled tremendously. Now, it is considered one of the leading schools in Noida with a total strength of about two thousand students.
 
The school is under direct control of the DAV Managing Committee, Chitra Gupta Road, New Delhi.
 
DAV stands for DAYANAND ANGLO-VEDIC. As the very name implies, it is the amalgamation of western rationalism and scientific temper with Vedic ideals and the great Indian philosophy - which is what the DAVs emphasize and tirelessly strive towards in order to realize the ideals of the great visionary - Swami Dayanand.
 
DAV movement which started in 1886 resulted in the formation of DAV College Trust and Management Society as the largest Non-Government Educational Institution. Presently, under the Presidentship of Padmashri G.P. Chopra, this society is managing and controlling about seven hundred educational Institutions all over India.
 
The aim of the school is to provide comprehensive quality education in order to develop varied facets of a child’s personality. The school takes pride in preparing children for life and inculcating in them values like team-work, loyalty, a spirit of caring and sharing and an enquiring mind.
