A workshop on ‘Spreading awareness on Income Tax for the students of classes XI and XII was organized by the school.The resource person for the workshop was Esteemed Sh. B.K. Dikshit, Joint Commissioner (Income Tax, Noida city) and his team members. They apprised the students about the benefits of paying taxes and
classified lots of misconception about the same. Students were informed that the taxes are collected in order to bestow the public with public services, for protection of borders, making of social welfare states and socialistic states. The revenue helps in channelising Investments, Industrial development and to solve many
domestic problems. As per the resource person the students are ambassadors to the families and hence they should act as the Tax monitors for their families to ensure the proper and timely tax payment and filing of ITR by their family members.
The Principal of the school, Mrs. I.P. Bhatia while conveying thanks to the team members emphasized that today’s workshop will help the students to emerge as a better human being and Tax responsible citizens of India.
