| Our
school organised a classical Vocal Recital with
the auspices of SPIC-MACAY. The artist of the day
was Sh. Ritesh Mishra, a world renowned vocalist of
Benaras Gharana.Our Principal Mrs. I.P.Bhatia in her
welcome speech encourged students to learn classical
music , she them to feel the spirituality in the
music. S. Ritesh Mishra is blessed with a galaxy of
musician relatives & friends & gurus also. He has
excelled in a knowledge of Indian Ragas. He has
sonority in singing Tayal,Tappa,Tarana, Bhajans and
other classical forms. His accompnists were Sh. Shuh
Maharaj on Tabla, Ms Paromita Mukherjee on
Harmonium, Sh. Sajan Singh & Ms. Tanvi Uppal Tanpura.
The first mesmerizing performance was a morningraag
'Basnat Mukhari'. The words were "Prabhu Gun Gao Sab
mil Ke" followed by "Manva Bhaj re Hari Naam".
The most enjoyable moment was when all the students
sang chorus based on SARGAM a geet cheered by all.
Lastly the presented a Bhajan "Sadho Aiso Hi Guru
Bhave, Jo rang ka Bhar Bhar Pyala Peeve aur Pilave. |
